How do I get Photoshop to remember the...

Previous to CS3 whenever I went to load a saved selective color setting, Photoshop went directly to that folder. Now the OS seems to override that and it goes to recently selected folders from other apps. This is such a waste of time. I have to maneuver to the correct folder now. Is this fixable? It would help if you could add to the sidebar of the Adobe dialog windows. I normally us the OS X dialog windows because of this.
