Photoshop CS4 and Mac 10.5.6?

Let me apologize in advance if this has been answered anywhere else, but I haven't found anything definitive.

I read that the system requirements for the CS4 products are Mac OSX v10.4.1110.5.4. I have 10.5.6 and want to know if it will work.

I read elsewhere that PS CS4 has worked after someone upgraded to 10.5.6, but I also read something that sounded like CS4 did not install properly on 10.5.6. Does anyone know definitely if this will work or not, because I don't particularly want to shell out and not be able to use the program.

Thanks.
Photoshop CS4 and Mac 10.5.6?
You can rest assured that you can read:

''the system requirements for the CS4 products are Mac OSX v10.4.1110.5.4'';

as meaning ''Mac OSX v10.4.1110.5.4 and LATER''.
Photoshop CS4 and Mac 10.5.6?
Oy!

...until Apple changes something, and Adobe says ''but we did not know
that was coming, of course CSx will misbehave. Gotta wait for CSx+1.''

or for Snow Leopard (OSX 10.6) more likely?

But CS4 is just peachy on 10.4.11.

As it is in 10.5.6 as well.

After reading this thread, I downloaded a trial version of CS4 Photoshop to my Mac Pro OS 10.5.6. The installation process is normal. When I go to the application, the icon is grayed out and there's only 208KB on the disk. The message says, ''You can't open Adobe Photoshop CS4'' because it is not supported on this architecture.'' So, can I or can I not run Photoshop CS4 on 10.5.6?

My system specs: Two Quad Core Intel Xeon 3 GHz processors; 6 GB 800 MHz memory; L2 Cache 12 MB per processor; 500 GB Hard Drive with 194 GB available; NVIDIA GEForce 8800 graphics card.

Would love to know a workaround if there is one. Thanks!

Sounds almost like you downloaded the Windoze version by mistake.聽

CS4 installs and runs fine in 10.5.6.
