Exporting as a PEF file

I have an Illustrator file that needs to be sent to a vendor in PEF format. Is there a way, either in Illustrator or Photoshop to save or export a PEF file?

If it helps, I am using Adobe CS3 on a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.4.11.

Thanks!

A quick Google turned up this:

I have no idea if it is any good.

I am curious as to why your client wants to have an Illustrator vector file rendered to a Pentax camera's Raw format?

Are you sure that he didn't mean a
PDF ?
Exporting as a PEF file
Not that I know of.

What is the PEF file for?

I found this to http://www.mh-aerotools.de/airfoils/pef_fmt.htm

looks like you need dedicated software.

So after a little more researching, I've come to the conclusion that it is not possible and that they likely meant PDF (even though when I initially asked them to clarify if they meant PDF and not PEF, they confirmed PEF).

For future reference, a PEF file is an ''Uncompressed RAW photograph taken with a Pentax digital camera.''

Jon,

Check the list of Adobe's supported raw formats in DNG to see if this Pentax format is included. If so, you're golden for
importing the format and converting to something standard.

But, AFAIK, you can't save back into that format for exporting.

But why would a vendor need a file in a proprietary Pentax format?

Neil

Well he might be IF his client actually wanted a PEF rather than a PDF or even knows what he wants!

%26gt;why would a vendor need a file in a proprietary Pentax format?

1. Because they own a Pentax camera and want to look at whatever Jon is doing in their camera.

2. Most likely they don't have a clue.

I like ''2.''

Nope, it's an Illustrator file!

Yup!
