Many ways to make reflections in PS but that looks like it's made with a plug-in by Flaming Pear.

You won't find that at Lynda.com at least not with nothing but Ps. I don't think Burt Monroy has come close to that quality in one of his books or videos, I got one.

Have we tried googling for 'photoshop water reflection'? The first result shows the basic concept.



This is an old trick that could have been done in Photoshop many versions back. No fancy plugin or instructional media is needed.

I have done something like that a few days ago. However, I used Cinema 4D. Look at how the waves get smaller and denser towards the horizon. Looks 3D to me.

If you use perspective transform on the distort map before distorting, you should be able to simulate that.
